To assist family-owned and closely-held businesses located in the NYC area achieve their goals through educational seminars, networking events, resources, and other membership activities and benefits. FIFPE seeks to inspire, motivate, and educate business leaders while guiding them on their quest for business mastery and greatness.

Raison d’être

Private and closely-held businesses, the latter of which includes family-owned businesses often face unique growth challenges, largely due to the relationships between management and majority ownership. Family-owned business is the most prevalent form of business organization worldwide and the backbone of our society. These firms also face tough survival odds when transitioning from one generation to the next. Fordham University Schools of Business are dedicated to serving the educational and networking needs of underserved private and closely held businesses in the New York Metro area in order to help them succeed and prosper, while also assist them in avoiding mistakes and pitfalls.
