Panelists:

Jack Moore, Former Director, Benjamin Moore Paints
Mr. Moore provides governance education to family business leaders and advisors through the National Association of Corporate Directors, Campden Conferences, Family Firm Institute, and Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises.  He leads an annual three-day board retreat for the Institute for Family-Owned Business, based in Portland, Maine. Previously, Mr. Moore served as Director at Benjamin Moore Paints, an $800 million paint manufacturer founded in 1883. After modernizing operations, the Company was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in 2001.  He is now a Manager and Trustee in his family’s investment LLC. Mr. Moore earned an Ed.D from Catholic University and resides in Northern Virginia. Extended Biography Can be Found Here

Terry Phinney, Partner, PhinneyMarciniak LLC
Terry Phinney advised Benjamin Moore Paints for five years. He has worked with both family owned and publicly traded clients to address their most pressing business and organizational needs. In his capacity as a strategist, he has helped management improve the productivity and profitability of their organizations. Based on client circumstances, this work has ranged from constructing a platform for future growth to developing an orderly exit strategy. In his capacity as a change agent, he has been hired as an interim executive to lead transformations in Human Resources, Strategy and Information Technology. Extended Biography Can be Found Here
